Services – Cancellation & Refund Policy

Sentinel K9 provides professional, service-based offerings, including dog training, security services, detection services, and dog location services. Because these services involve time allocation, planning, travel, personnel deployment, and specialized expertise, we do not offer refunds once services have begun or resources have been committed.

Please review this policy carefully before booking any service.

Scope of Services Covered

This policy applies to all Sentinel K9 services, including but not limited to:

  • Dog Training Services (private sessions, board-and-train, evaluations)

  • Security Services (armed/unarmed, K9 security, event security)

  • Detection Services (human detection, explosives detection, narcotics detection)

  • Dog Location & Sourcing Services (domestic and international sourcing, evaluation, acquisition)

  • Consultations, assessments, and planning services

All services are considered non-tangible, professional services, not physical goods.

No Refunds Once Services Begin

Once any of the following occur, no refunds will be issued:

  • A service has started or been partially rendered

  • A consultation, evaluation, or assessment has taken place

  • Time has been scheduled or blocked on our calendar

  • Personnel, handlers, K9s, or equipment have been assigned

  • Travel planning, booking, or coordination has begun

  • Custom planning, sourcing, or preparation has started

  • A dog has entered training or a security/detection deployment window

This applies regardless of:

  • Client dissatisfaction

  • Changes in personal or business circumstances

  • Event cancellation or rescheduling

  • Dog behavior, progress, or performance outcomes

  • Early termination or non-use of services

Payment is for professional time, expertise, availability, and preparation, not guaranteed outcomes.

Cancellations Before Services Begin

Clients may request cancellation before services begin under the following conditions:

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to training@sentinel-k9.com

  • Requests must be received before any services, evaluations, planning, or resource allocation occur

  • If approved, Sentinel K9 may, at its sole discretion:

    • Issue a credit toward future services, or

    • Issue a partial refund, minus any administrative, planning, evaluation, or scheduling fees already incurred

Refunds are not guaranteed and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Security & Detection Services (Special Conditions)

For security and detection services:

  • Once personnel, K9s, vehicles, or equipment are scheduled or staged, services are non-refundable

  • Event cancellations, postponements, or changes by the client do not qualify for a refund

  • Weather, venue changes, or third-party actions do not constitute grounds for a refund

  • Minimum service hours may apply regardless of early termination

Dog Location & Sourcing Services (Special Conditions)

For dog location and sourcing services:

  • All location fees are non-refundable

  • Client is responsible for all travel, lodging, meals, and related expenses

  • Time spent sourcing, evaluating, traveling, or negotiating is billable regardless of outcome

  • International travel and sourcing does not guarantee availability or acquisition of a specific dog

  • Training services following acquisition are governed by this same policy

Training Results Disclaimer

Dog training and K9 services depend on multiple variables, including genetics, temperament, environment, handler consistency, and health.

Sentinel K9 does not guarantee specific results, timelines, or outcomes. Payment is for professional services rendered, not a guaranteed performance level or behavioral change.

Missed Appointments & Early Termination
  • Missed or late-canceled sessions may be forfeited

  • Unused services are not redeemable for cash

  • Early termination does not qualify for a refund or credit

Transfers & Credits
  • Services are non-transferable unless approved in writing

  • Credits, if granted, may be subject to expiration and service limitations

  • Credits have no cash value

Right to Refuse or Terminate Services

Sentinel K9 reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services at its sole discretion due to:

  • Safety concerns (dog, handler, staff, or public)

  • Client non-compliance or misconduct

  • Conditions outside the agreed scope of service

  • Legal or regulatory concerns

Termination does not entitle the client to a refund.
